“Can robots replace pets?” has been one question that has been doing the rounds with introduction of dog robots. Now NEC Systems of Japan & Mie University have come out with Wine-Bot, a robot, which they claim that with in 30 seconds their wine-bot can correctly identify the unique organic components of 30 popular wines. This robot is made up of a microcomputer and an optical sensing instrument, and is twice the size of a three litre wine box. For those looking for detecting wine frauds these wine-bots would be a great boon.
