New Tech News-Wine-Bot-Can Bot Replace Wine Tasters?

Now NEC Systems of Japan & Mie University have come out with Wine-Bot, a robot, which they claim that with in 30 seconds their wine-bot can correctly identify the unique organic components of 30 popular wines. This robot is made up of a microcomputer and an optical sensing instrument, and is twice the size of a three litre wine box. For those looking for detecting wine frauds these wine-bots would be a great boon.

As a child i used to see these robots in the science fiction movies and when i entered school and during my industrial visits i was able to see how manufacturing plants use these robots to come out with high quality products. Especially the level of accuracy, meaning the quality of product delivered by these robots are higher compared to human finish. Infact one of the most important title for debate in college was “Whether robots would replace human beings in all walks of life”?. There is this research about using tiny robots, which can actually get into the human body and fix some problems. If you are interested in Robots and would want to know about some of the robots that have made headlines this year are “Can robots replace wine tasters?” while Noelle model Robots helps medical students and RI-MAN is for elderly people and Pig Robots help do dirty work such as cleaning carpets or clear the garbage. Now the kids toy industry is also attempting to merge these robotic features into the toys and bring out lot more life to toys. These toys would surely delight the kids for sure.
