Isn’t it quite common for us to say “oh i forgot my umbrella’?. This can all turn out to be a thing of past. It is just because of this Toyama kid Ryota Yamamoto.Toyama can be proud of this 12 year old kid for he becomes the inventor of a umbrella reminder. He also becomes the youngest japanese school boy to get a patent. His invention is all about an umbrella with sensor that can detect people and indicate to them, if they forget their umbrella. This device can be setup near residence/office/building entrances. This electric sensor/device measures 70 cms tall. The head of Miyata Patent Office, Nobumichi Miyata, helped this whiz kid in his application process.

Now if there are young kids reading this article and may want to know more about patents, here is a useful link

Here comes a company with a mission to design products that would have the power to change the tommorrow’s world. Really, an interesting mission from Infinia. It is this statement that made us to take a look at what they do. Yes, what is so different about Infinia?

Infinia is one among the many companies that’s making their presence felt in the field of clean and green alternate energy sources, that the world is desperately looking for. While some harness wind power, some try to harness tidal power and most are concentrating on building their abilities to harness solar energy. Yes and it is here that Infinia stands different from the existing solar power harners/producers. Infinia does not go the solar panels way and instead uses the Stirling generators technology to harness solar power. The Stirling engine is a heat engine of the external combustion piston engine type whose heat-exchange process allows for near-ideal efficiency in conversion of heat into mechanical movement. The Free Piston in Infinia’s stirling generators utilizes the Changes in air pressureto drive a motor. Infinia’s solar Generators remind you the shape of a dish, which we normally use to receive satellite TV channels. “Using this methodology, the cost of power production would definitely be lesser than the use of solar panels. Traditional solar panels operate at 12 to 15% efficiency while its Stirling engines can operate at 24% effciency” claims Infinia. If you are keen in knowing about how stirling engines work, please take a moment to visit this page at Infinia. Rather if you are more interested in its history and development of this 19th century technology, stirling engines, please visit wikipedia.

In the U.S. , Infinia is already working with the U. S. Army to develop a reliable CHP system for military field kitchens and develop a zero-maintenance, diesel-fueled generators and CHP systems for field power. Infinia has lot more plans and hopefully we expect to achieve its goal and stand true to its mission statement. Then world would be a better place to live in.
