Posted by itispals under General , Hot n Spicy , New & Just In , New Tech NewsYouTube (GooTube) has been on the news for all the good reasons, Time Magazine has named it the Invention of the year, while Sun has launched a contest for its employees to find out who can come out with the most compelling video at YouTube. While these may be beneficial to YouTube and its popularity, the following incident may set up a new precedent.
A video posted in YouTube, has brought to light, the act of the Human Rights Violation by police officers. On August 11, 2006, approximately three months ago, two police officers arrested a 24 year old youth by name william cardenas. The video shows one of the police officer striking the suspect on the face repeatedly, while the other probably trying to prevent the other officer from hitting the suspect. Yes one of the officers was punching william cardenas face many times while he was struggling with pain and gasping for breathe. This happened on the Hollywood street and one of the residents has shot this video footage and posted it in YouTube. Though this video has generated mixed reactions, yet FBI has taken a note of it and has now begin the enquiry for violations of Human Rights. Check out the 20 second video clip here.
That’s a great news indeed. If justice prevailed in this case, YouTube can be proud and definitely set a new trend.
