Low Cost Airlines


Presently, the Low Cost Business Airline, Paramount Airways, operates two services daily to Hyderabad and Madurai from Chennai. Paramount Airways now plans to increase this frequency to three, from September 15th. The airline is expected to receive its fourth Embraer Jet this month end. Paramount Airways is the only Indian operator which offers business class tickets at a low cost.

From October 2nd 2006, Air India Express, the low cost airliner of the Air India Stable, will operate two weekly flights between Amritsar and Dubai. This means that passengers from Punjab can now directly reach Dubai and it is one of the long felt demand of the passengers from this region. These flights will be progressively stepped up in the near future. The airline will also commence a twice-weekly service on the Mangalore-Dubai route.
