Come July and it is the time for the Indians to file their Income Tax Returns. As early as 2000, one of the Indian software company, Soffia Software, the company that i was working with, had created a free online income tax return filing software. As a part of the Indian government’s e-governance initiative, it does provide its citizens and organizations the freedom to file their income tax returns online. So all one need to do is to visit their Incometax website and choose the appropriate category to which they belong to and file their returns. One has to register to file their returns. So to register online with the site one has to have a PAN Number. So if you have a PAN Number, you can register and download the filing software and submit your returns.
